Genomics and multi-omics are moving from the lab bench to the centre of India's economic strategy. With the bioeconomy targeted to reach $300 billion by 2030 and the genomics market alone projected to hit $9.5 billion by 2034, India stands at a pivotal moment — backed by a sequencing cost collapse from $100 million to under $200 per genome and a startup base of over 11,000 biotech companies. The CII Global Genomics Summit 2026 brings together this momentum under one roof, convening policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and researchers to shape the policy, investment, and talent pathways that will define India's genomics-led future.
Organised by CII Genomics, the Summit will unfold across seven thematic sessions covering policy and regulatory pathways, data governance, affordable access, the wider multi-omics revolution, financing innovation, genomics beyond healthcare, and workforce development.
